Saturation Diving Beta Review
A fair look at a 3.1 million-visit horror co-op that still says it has not fully released.
Saturation Diving is a free Roblox survival horror co-op from The_BucketHead. The official description asks you to mine deep-sea ore from pipes, push into holes, crash sites, and frigid dead ground, and upgrade until the abyss pushes back. The same page warns that the game is beta, unfinished, and buggy. This review takes that warning seriously.
As of the 28 August 2026 platform stamp the place had roughly 3.1 million visits, 99k favorites, and rooms of 50 players with thousands concurrent at peak. Voice chat is off. Official VIP servers are off. You will meet strangers. That is the product.
What Works
The fantasy is specific. You are not a superhero. You are a diver with a tank, a drill, and a reason to go one level deeper than is wise. The live badge list proves the loop is real: first dive, three levels, six, eleven rounds, fifteen. That ladder is more honest than a wiki full of fake zone names. Crash Plateau exists because a badge names it. Grimreefs exist because a badge asks you to kill two in one level. Sanguinite exists because a badge asks you to clear a map of it.
Co-op is the point. A four-person split — watch the tank, run the drill, call threats, loot wrecks — is how Mastercraft-length dives happen. The co-op guide is not optional flavour.
The trailer in the middle of this page is the pitch. If that tone does not interest you, the beta will not either.
What Is Rough
Beta means missing signs, janky prompts, and grants that sometimes need a rejoin. There is no public Trello URL on the game page, no live promo codes, and no official private server for a quiet first lesson. New players get thrown into 50-player rooms. Mobile players fight the same oxygen clock with worse camera control — see mobile.
The shop is thin: one gamepass, Elite Diver Lite, for Pearls and premium locker access. That is fine. A bloated pass board would be worse. Still, if you hoped for a single-player campaign with pause, this is the wrong game.
Thumbnail credits go to @Wyster7a and @kqnoya. The art sells dread. The live build sometimes sells waiting for a pipe while twelve people drill the same node.
Who Should Play
- Friends who already like Roblox horror and can stay in voice outside the game (in-game voice is unsupported).
- Completionists who enjoy a fifteen-badge list with a few nasty rares (Music Box, Hunter Killer, two grimreefs).
- Players who accept that The_BucketHead will break things. The place was created 27 May 2026. It is young.
Who Should Wait
- Anyone who needs a finished campaign, a Trello, or codes on day one.
- Anyone who only wanted a private server tutorial.
- Anyone who thought this was the Steam horror game also named Saturation. Different developer, different platform.
Score, In Plain Language
Worth playing with friends now if the trailer lands. Worth bookmarking the updates and badges pages. Not worth pretending it is a 1.0 extraction shooter. The developer said it is not fully released. Believe them, then dive anyway.
Compared with other Roblox ocean games, this one is less tycoon and more “stay together or black out.” That is a compliment if you wanted tension, and a warning if you wanted an idle farm. Scripts that auto-mine public pipes ruin the only thing the beta does well. Use the in-wiki breathe timer instead.
The August 2026 week that added badges, a gamepass, and a platform update is the first time the experience felt like a product instead of a prototype. It is still a prototype. Come back after the next stamp on the Roblox page if first-session bugs bounce you. The updates hub exists for that.
Continue with Getting Started, the tier list, and gamepasses only after you have Primitive Diver. Spend Robux after you know you like the tank anxiety, not before.
